As previous posts have shown, our group has been looking for a way to use the camera stabiliser with the college's DSLR camera. However, on Tuesday 1st November, disaster struck. We had been filming for about an hour and got some solid base tracks, especially of the first verse. However, at about 11, the stabiliser failed on us - the camera dropped from arm height off the stabiliser and the DSLR broke into three pieces.
We were distraught, especially as we requested the camera especially. It has been sent off for repair and further discussions are required, but our technicians believe it wasn't due to negligence and put it down to an accident.
In terms of our coursework, we lost an hour of footage and were lucky to be able to film again on Thursday. We have booked the camera for the long weekend, so hope to make up this time that we missed on Tuesday.
However, we are hopeful for the future and Tristen predicts "The greatest comeback in A2 Media History"
